Bengali Heritage Classes
BKPA members learn about Bengali heritage, culture, and language at weekly Bengali Classes held throughout the year. Our four-level curriculum is for all who wish to learn to speak, write, and read the Bengali language.
Bengali Heritage Class teaches us teamwork, leadership skills, public speaking, and professionalism and promotes hard work, honesty, discipline, fairness, and respect.
This class opens doors and provides a life-long learning experience for those who are truly interested.
See our Curriculum for more information.
Our teachers also help us to prepare for college and careers by hosting resume workshops, teaching writing skills, and finding opportunities for community work and summer internships. Join our Bengali Heritage Class and find out how FUN it is!
Local Trips & Tours
Our members travel together to fun, noteworthy locations such as Vivekananda Retreat Ridgely, Longwood Gardens and Pearl Buck House, and area museums.
Physician Shadowing Program
We guide students interested in medicine to find mentors to shadow in the USA and abroad. This provides on-the-job experience and facilitates relationships between established and emerging professionals.
Kolkata Area Tours
Tours will be lead by Bengali class teachers upon individual request for those traveling to the area.
